The Lithuanian National Guard is dedicated to sustaining a community that adheres to the highest standards of integrity and commitment to the Lithuanian cause. To protect the spirit and goals of our organization, we have specific membership restrictions.
Ineligible Individuals
- Political Restrictions: Individuals affiliated with the communist party or those who support communism cannot become members. Our goal is to build a community that supports Lithuanian sovereignty and democratic values.
- Criminal Background: Individuals with criminal convictions are not allowed to join. This policy protects the safety and integrity of our community and its members.
- Conduct and Reputation: Individuals known for actions that damage or could damage the reputation of Lithuania, the Lithuanian National Guard, its members, or its leaders are not eligible. This includes making unfounded accusations against the organization or its leaders or engaging in secretive, detrimental activities.
- Dishonesty in Application: Applicants who hide their criminal records during the application process will not be accepted. If such dishonesty is uncovered after admission, they will be expelled immediately by the division’s board.
- Dismissal for Non-Compliance: Members who do not follow the organization’s rules and standards, such as failing to pay dues, not attending meetings or activities without a valid excuse, or relocating without informing their company, units, or division, may be dismissed.
- Reinstatement: Members who have been dismissed can appeal within two weeks. The process for appeals is detailed in our bylaws, ensuring a fair review of any disputes. Contact us for details.
