The Baltic Way – 670 Kilometers of Unity for Freedom

The Baltic Way, a peaceful protest on August 23, 1989, was a turning point in the Baltic States’ push for independence. Spanning 670 kilometers, around two million people formed a human chain from Vilnius to Tallinn, standing together against Soviet control.
